IPL Filter Replacement & Cleaning

     These instructions will guide through how to properly clean your current IPL filter, and also on how to replace the glass filter.  If you are replacing your defective filter with a new glass filter, you will need to use the old filter’s metallic and plastic parts as shown below.

*** It is extremely important to clean your IPL filter on a regular basis!  Any gel or dirt on the coated surface will cause damage to the filter and also to the internal filter of your IPL head.
The coated surface should be thoroughly cleaned with alcohol before and after each use.

1- This is how the completely assembled IPL filter looks like.

2- With a screw driver, snap off the black plastic holder at each side.

3- With a flat head screw driver, loosen the screw on the metallic housing.

4- Make sure plastic O-ring does not fall out.

5.Clean all parts with water and alcohol to remove any dirt or dried gel,
including inside the metallic holder. 
Dry all parts well before reassembling.

6- Replace the glass filter back into the metallic holder.
Place the filter with its colored/coated side facing down (arrow).
Make sure the plastic O-ring inside the metallic holder does not fall out.

Place the glass filter and metallic holder on a flat surface so that
they would be aligned properly, then tighten the screw.

7- Replace the black plastic piece by pushing each end into the metallic holder.
It should snap in place.
